Questions
It is the four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, complete. The rest of the Bible is not in this book. Each Gospel is rendered in plain modern English and checked verse by verse against its source. Nothing is added and nothing is removed. Where Jesus is hard, the English stays hard.
The World English Bible, a modern public domain translation. The Plain Word is an original plain-English rendering of it. The only additions are a one-line summary at the top of each chapter and a short “What we learn here” note at the end, both set apart from the text.
Yes. There are no verse numbers on the page, so it reads like a book. Every chapter is complete and numbered, with headings, so you can turn to any sermon passage by chapter and find it by its heading. Our group guides give chapter and verse, so people holding different Bibles can read along together.
Yes. Large Type is the same book set in 15-point type (the Reader edition is 10.5-point), 773 pages against the Reader’s 475. It’s the edition for seniors’ groups, care homes, and anyone who reads with the book at arm’s length. It comes in packs of 5 and 10.
Your order email has the PDF and EPUB files. Forward it to the people reading from your pack. The PDF opens on any phone, tablet or computer. The EPUB works in Apple Books and Kobo, and Kindle readers can add it with Amazon’s Send to Kindle.
