What is the serpent’s seed?

Speaking to the Pharisees, Jesus said, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. (John 8:44-47).

Those who do not do the will of God, but live in sin are the devil’s seed. There is no other way to say it. Living apart from God is considered evil, because one believes in their own righteousness…I’m a good person, I do good things, etc. For many, the dangerous manifestation of evil is how humans define it. God did not leave it up to humans to define – He has defined evil so there is not question. And, that is what counts when considering one’s salvation. Many only think of evil in terms as the most vile crime as evil, and no doubt it is. However, the most successful tool Satan uses is mixing truth with error AND enticing one to define for oneself as to what is right or wrong (good or evil). This is the greatest deception…think of Adam and Eve.

He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. (Matthew 12:30).

There are only two teams, some say two generations of people. Those who are the seed of the woman, and those who are the seed of the serpent. Those who are with God OR those who are against God. There is no neutrality. Each person decides which generation they will align themselves with. This is the decision before us. The Plain Word’s desire is if you haven’t made a decision for Christ that you will or at least consider it.
