Transgenderism

The lecture below is by Dr. Conrad Vine given at the Drakensberg Camp Meeting in Lesotho, South Africa. It is about one hour 26 minutes and is about the philosophy and ideology behind the transgender movement sweeping the Western world.

Introduction to the video: In the lordship of Jesus Christ, Dr. Vine approaches the question of transgenderism from a position of fundamental equality and solidarity with those who are suffering from what psychiatrists used to call ‘gender dysphoria’ and is now more commonly known as ‘transgenderism’. We are all brothers and sisters in need of a Savior and we are all lost sinners without hope – saving the abiding mercy and grace of Jesus Christ. So, we are not talking down, we are not talking up, we are talking across because we have brothers, sisters, sons and daughters who are caught up in transgenderism. We may be concerned about our those we love who find themselves in this spot; but at the end of the day we are all sinners in need of a Savior and we all manifest the brokenness of sin in different ways. In a church that exists by the grace of God, there is no space for misplaced spiritual pride, the demeaning of others, the sense that our own feelings of righteousness earns us our own salvation; for it is Christ’s death on Calvary that provides us our only hope for salvation and our only hope for a new beginning and our only hope to become a new creation. Therefore, we talk about the issue of transgenderism today by recognizing that every child that is born is created in the image of God.
