About Us

Kelly Frances

Our mission is simple, to proclaim Christ of the Bible to the world.  We are doing our part in responding to the call.  “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (Matt. 24:14).

All Bible truths point to Christ, prepares the human heart for His imminent return, and establishes peace within while living in a chaotic world as we await for His appearing.  After Christ’s discourse in Matthew 24 about the signs of His coming, in Matthew 25 He talks tells us how to be prepared for it.

Scripture reference: Luke 24:25-27,32; Ps. 10:17, 57:7; Luke 12:14, 12:35-38; 2 Chronicles 12:14; Proverbs 16:18; add’l text; Mark 13Luke 21.

The Plain Word will employ articles on Biblical topics and themes, word studies, and end time prophecy which produces a treasure trove of information for our visitors consideration.  These pearls of truth can be found from Genesis to Revelation. Take courage for such truths will:

A preacher once said, “If you look hard enough, you will find Jesus on every page of the Bible.”  This is true, Jesus is there from the beginning clear through to the last chapter of the Bible. We look forward to being a partner with you in  this journey through the Bible, and helping the faithful seeker of truth in the understanding that scripture is a unified story that leads to Jesus . Our prayer is that you fall in love with Jesus, have a love for the truth, and follow Him wherever He leads you.

THE PLAIN WORD encourages all readers to not blindly accept what you hear or read. We are instructed in 1 Thessalonians 5:21 to prove all things and hold fast to that which is good.  How do we “prove all things”?  We “prove or test all things” by comparing scripture as we are  counseled to do in Isaiah 28:10.  The people of Berea are an example to us, when they heard the “word” preached by Paul and Silas they searched the scriptures to see if it was so (Acts 17:11).  Today is no different, this is how we build a firm foundation (Matthew 7:24-28).  And  most importantly, don’t let anyone take your crown (Revelation 3:11).

Treasures of heaven can be packed in earthen vessels, praise God for his goodness.  Pastor CD Brooks said, “May God hear you when you call.  May God catch you if you fall.  May God help you as you stand.  May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”
