Is the Bible really God-breathed? Were men really inspired by the Holy Spirit to record its contents? If so, how do we know it was accurately preserved for thousands of years as a unique revelation from God? Do we even have the right books in the Bible, or are there important sources missing that would change our view of God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Christian walk? Can we really trust Scripture? If so, is the Bible vital and relevant to us today? Is the Bible just a collection of humanly devised myths and fables?
Truth Matters
Discovering the truth could prove to be the most life changing adventure you have ever undertaken. Before you decide that the Bible is a book of myths and fables, I simply ask that you examine it for yourself. You may find it to be an eye-opening experience, and the most relevant journey of your life. The evidence for God and His word is contained within its pages. Even the cosmos, fossil record, plants, animals, and human kind when studied in depth ultimately points to a Creator.
Under Attack
The Bible has been attacked. God has been denied. Many doubt the Bible’s credibility. Believers have been labeled as delusional. However, the Bible contains a dimension of knowledge that is almost totally missing from our modern world. The Bible reveals the true purpose of life...providing meaning and definition. The other option is to believe that we came from a random, undirected cosmic accident and that the most we can hope for is to be the fittest for it is those who survive. It is a heartless future for those who hold to those beliefs. According to Richard Dawkins:
“Humans have always wondered about the meaning of life...life has no higher purpose than to perpetuate the survival of DNA...life has no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind pitiless indifference.”
“In a universe of blind physical forces and genetic replication some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky, and you won't find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference.”
Outmatches it Opponents
Bible prophecies not only foretold the rise and fall of ancient nations; it records 400 prophecies, appearances or foreshadowings of Christ in the Old Testament and these prophecies were fulfilled exactly. But the greatest evidence the the Bible is true is that only the Bible can make sense of the standards by which we evaluate whether or not something is true (i.e., laws of logic).
